remember the titans

Remember the Titans

Racism used to be a big thing of the Past, integrated schools in the south were unheard. Remember the Titans is a phenomenal movie that takes the audience back to the Martin Luther King JR. era when the African Americans were trying to gain civil rights. The movie starts off in a little Town Virginia the heart of most racism in the south. The movie shows in the beginning how the blacks and whites do not get along in the town but the town decides to integrate schools. During the integration coach Boone the soon to be coach for the black school, got the job as head coach of the integrated school which came to be known as T.C. Williams. Coach Boone starts off showing the kids that he does not care whether they are black or white as long as they have heart they are allowed on the team. While at a football camp the team finally comes together once they find out that they are all not that different. The two that realize it first are the two all-state linebackers Gerry and Julius which are the two that hated the other the most which they have a big deal on the rest of the team accepting the other teams.

To people that love classic football movies or overcoming racism movies this is the movie for you. The movie is touching and shows people how they can get over there differences. This is a must watch movie for everyone. Watch as white people learn to live with African Americans in the 1960's
