Madea as a money maker

Tyler perry sure has found his money machine not only does he entertain African Americans, but every race in the United states. I do not know if it is because the humor or because it portrays the everyday life of different class African Americans. The iconic Madea and her brother Joe have brought in a lot of money for Tyler Perry now i know those are not the only characters in the movies but I think Madea portrays a powerful advice giver not only for the black culture but for everyone. Although Tyler Perry has brought in most of his revenue from the black community because of its iconic everyday life for the black culture, I think that it also fascinates the white culture also.

I think that Tyler's movies are not solely depicted for just African Americans, but no doubt they are where he is making all of his money. Being as there is not a lot of Movies made just for African Americans there is a lot of money to be made with them. I find the Tyler movies amusing although I am not black and I find that most young white people would agree, and some older white people would also agree. The fact that Tyler Perry's movies bring in more money than any other african american movie is not suprising because of the simple fact that Ma to tha damn D E A as she would put it is an everyday black women with just some anger problems.

Do not drink and drive

Drinking and driving why do people do it i do not know but i can tell you some statistics. First about one-third of all people arrested or convicted for drunk driving are repeat offenders. Over 1.2 million drivers were arrested in 2011 for drunk driving, that is as much as the entire population of Dallas. Everyday on average 28 people die a day drunk driving. In 2012 over 10,322 people died from drunk driving. Almost every 90 seconds someone dies in a drunk driving accident. Also in 2011 226 children died from drunk driving 54% were with the drunk driver.
Two men from New Waverly died when their vehicle crashed into trees off Mt. Zion Road
I know that most people think those statistics wont happen to them. I thought the same thing till my uncle died while drinking and driving it took me by storm I did not believe it when I first heard. The look in my aunts eyes was devastating the man that raised me pretty much, had died the night before after striking two trees dying on impact. At the funeral it was the worst feeling I had ever felt in my life it got even worst when I was holding my two year old cousin, and she told me that her dad was tired and that he needed to sleep. Growing up without a father was horrible but I still got to see him from time to time once every three years, but knowing that her father would never see her graduate was horrible so please do not drink and drive. Statistics may only sound like a number and they are just a number till you become one of those numbers.

They call the thing Rodeo

Rodeo's are fun for most and have moved through various cultures through out the entire world. There is rodeo contestants from South America, Canada, the Caribbean, and United States. The most popular to the male crowd would probably be the bull riding, the female crowd is the barrel racing. There is nothing that i have ever done that will make your adrenaline run like being in a ring with 2500 pounds of muscle coming straight at you, sound dangerous? Well truth of the story is rodeoing is dangerous but its all for the love of the sport, just like a linebacker in football. What some people do not know are some of the different events other than the concert. Well I am here to teach a little bit of what I know about the toughest sport in the world Rodeo.

You have two different events timed events, and rough-stock events. Roughstock competitions are all gonna be some what the same just with different animals, and different styles of riding. All Roughstock competitions are judged the same way the 4 judges rate the rider on a scale of 1-25 so the better the livestock bucks and the better the rider responds to the bucking the better the score. Starting off with Bull riding this sport is the longest 8 seconds sport in the world, what I mean by that is the rider is suppose to stay on the bull for a total of 8 seconds. The rider has to hold on to a rope that is around the bull with one hand, the free hand must never touch the bull nor the rider. Next we go to Bareback riding which is also an 8 second sport, the major difference is the rider rides a horse instead of a bull, and is judged on how good the rider spurs the horse as it is bucking. The rider holds on to a long rope with one hand, just like bull riding the rider must keep free arm from touching anything. Now last of the Roughstock Saddle bronc riding which is very similar to bareback but the rider is in a saddle and the holds on to the horn of the saddle.

The next type of events is the timed events which consist of Barrel racing, team roping, steer roping, steer wrestling,  and tie down roping all start off on horseback. In Barrel racing the rider has to race around three barrels in a clover like pattern, if a racer is to knock over a barrel the are penalized 5 seconds on to their time. Team roping consist of two riders header and a heeler the header ropes the head of the steer, and the heeler ropes the back legs, the time does not stop till the steer is still and the riders horses are looking at each other. Steer roping is similar to team roping but consist of just one rider, and the riders time does not stop until the steer is facing the riders horse, the rope must be over both horns if not the rider is either disqualified or penalized 5 seconds. Steer wrestling is the timed event in which everyone is like what are they thinking, the contestant tries to fall off his horse onto a steer running full speed, the time does not stop until the steer has all four feet in the air. Last is tie-down roping which is the same as steer roping but after the steer is roped the rider must jump off horse flip the steer on its back and tie its feet together, if feet do not stay tied for 5 seconds the rider is disqualified.

livestock judging

Livestock judging is a fun past time for me, most people do not know what livestock judging consist of so I am here to explain. The whole point of livestock judging is to find the animal which will either produce the better livestock babies, or which one will produce the most meat at the market. Picking the livestock that will produce the most meat might sound easy, you would just pick the biggest one. Using the approach of picking the biggest one might sound good in theory, but you have to factor in size of bones, and just because one is bigger does not mean it is the better livestock at the market one can be bigger because of fat. In picking the better livestock you want to pick the animal when its muscle starts blending in with its fat this is called the peak of the animal, you do not want to eat a steak that is all fat, or a steak that is all muscle. The reason behind picking an animal at its peak is because the fat is what holds flavor, but the muscle is where the protein is at.

The Different livestock that are judge are lambs, goats, steers, heifers, bulls, pigs, turkeys, rabbits, and chickens. Within these different animals you have breeding classes which consist of heifers (female cow that has never born a kid), bulls, ewe (female lamb), sow (female pig), nanny (female goat), boar (male goat). The Meat class would consist of lamb, goat, steer (castrated male bull), pig, turkeys, rabbits, and chickens. In the breeding class you would judge how well an animal will carry a child, which would make the best babies, and which will have the least amount of problems during the birthing period. During the meat class you would judge on which one not only will bring the most meat at the market but the best quality of meat which is its peak.

With the meat market lamb, goat, steer, and pig you want the livestock that is widest across its back, because it is the most expensive part of the meat. Second you look at which one is widest at its base (his legs), and which has the biggest butt. In all of these animals you want muscle mixed with fat which is called marbilization.  When judging turkeys, and chickens you look at which one has the biggest breast, in order to do this the shower will flip the bird over facing towards the judge and the judge will fill the birds breast and see fill the muscle content of the bird. When judging rabbits there kind of a class of their own they bunch three rabbits of the showers choice together and see if their backs are the same width and length.

cuisine of Texas Compared to NY, Chicago

Why is it were you live in America usually makes up what you eat during the day. Ever since I was a boy growing up in south east TEXAS our meat usually came out of the river, shot on the way to the river, or was produced on a farm that we processed our self. In my Culture what you shoot or catch is what you eat unless you let it go to get bigger but you never shoot anything for the fun of it. Were you live does not only have to do with what you eat but how you eat the food too. In south east Texas we have always liked spicy food with a cajun hint and a southern blast of spices, garlic, lemon, and Tony Chacheries is all you ever need to make anything taste great. Having as many African Americans towns around were i grew up you could always drive just down the road and get you some good pork rinds. The Latino's in east Texas have an influence on what my household eat from time to time in our house we love us some good Jalapeno peppers.

What about people in other regions though what do they eat I mean I'm sure that people in New York do not eat Gumbo on a daily basis. I found that people in New York eat a lot of Pizza which is usually thin crusted, Unlike the deep dish used in Chicago. Also they eat a lot of Hoagies and are very well known for there hot dogs, which is why they have the Nathan's hot dog eating contest each Year. Chicago which is also known for there hot dogs but the difference between theirs and New Yorks is that they never use ketchup only Mustard, raw onion, sweet relish, and celery salt. Also Chicago is known for their deep dish pizza the deeper the better.

Lucid Dreaming V.S. Inception

The movie of many dreams "inception". What if you could remember those few seconds of a dream and change it does that remind you of lucid dreaming because that is what i think of. The movie inception has to do with people that are changing not only their own dreams but other peoples dreams also. These people were trying to implant a memory into someones mind through their dreams. The whole movie almost seems impossible but lets just talk about lucid dreaming compared to a machine that made you know you were dreaming. Lucid dreaming is when you notice in the middle of your dream that your dreaming, so what would a normal person do if they did notice they were in a middle of a dream i know that i would be FLYING, or go back to my best memory and relive it over and over again. On this machine Leonardo was changing peoples dreams and his own dreams the only big difference between the machine and lucid dreaming is that on the machine the people could change other peoples dreams not only theirs.

During the movie Leonardo Decaprio gets caught up in his own dreamland and after awhile he forgets what is reality and what is a dream. The problem with lucid dreaming is that if you do it to much you forget what is reality then that brings up the question is it a dream or is it a nightmare if you don't know what is reality. Leonardo gets caught up in his dreams because he keeps on going back to his dreams when he was happiest with his wife and kids. If your changing dreams some much that you can not remember what is real and what is fake then if you think you can fly in real life and try it you cant really fly so whats next you die. Which is what happens to Leonardo's wife but she jumps off a building. If you have never seen inception I highly recommend it so you can see what i would think of as lucid dreaming.

remember the titans

Remember the Titans

Racism used to be a big thing of the Past, integrated schools in the south were unheard. Remember the Titans is a phenomenal movie that takes the audience back to the Martin Luther King JR. era when the African Americans were trying to gain civil rights. The movie starts off in a little Town Virginia the heart of most racism in the south. The movie shows in the beginning how the blacks and whites do not get along in the town but the town decides to integrate schools. During the integration coach Boone the soon to be coach for the black school, got the job as head coach of the integrated school which came to be known as T.C. Williams. Coach Boone starts off showing the kids that he does not care whether they are black or white as long as they have heart they are allowed on the team. While at a football camp the team finally comes together once they find out that they are all not that different. The two that realize it first are the two all-state linebackers Gerry and Julius which are the two that hated the other the most which they have a big deal on the rest of the team accepting the other teams.

To people that love classic football movies or overcoming racism movies this is the movie for you. The movie is touching and shows people how they can get over there differences. This is a must watch movie for everyone. Watch as white people learn to live with African Americans in the 1960's
